Burlington City Railway
This short line runs vintage diesel trains from the town of Burlington to Cape May for passenger service. Its regular trains run from mid-April to mid-November and special holiday trains are available for the spring and fall.
The museum has a train-themed play area for kids, where they can climb aboard and ride the trains, play in the locomotives, and even sit on top of a steam engine! This is a fun activity that the whole family will enjoy.
Rio Grande – Cape May City
The Rio Grande – Cape May City is a narrow gauge railroad that operates vintage diesel locomotives on a 1.5 mile loop through Allaire State Park. Its rides are a popular option for families to enjoy during the summer months and at other times of the year when the weather is nicer.
The museum is open Sundays through the fall and during special events. It also features an impressive operating Lionel train layout, gift shop and picnic grounds. The museum is open for guided tours, and admission is $2 per adult and $1 per child.
